Add the server

Set the transport explicitly: when it is left out, OpenClaw assumes SSE for an HTTP server, and dmswift speaks Streamable HTTP.

To start read-only, add --include 'list_*,get_*' and only the listing and reading tools are offered to the agent.

Sign in with OAuth

Set auth to oauth on the server's entry under mcp.servers in your OpenClaw config:

Then run openclaw mcp login dmswift. Your browser opens dmswift's consent screen, where you pick the channels and decide on "Ask me before anything is published"; the token exchange is automatic. Check it with openclaw mcp status --verbose.

Or use an API key

Create a key on the dashboard's AI agents page and send it as a header, with the value read from an environment variable:

OpenClaw redacts header values in its logs and status output. Static headers are ignored while auth is oauth, so use one or the other. openclaw mcp doctor dmswift --probe checks the connection.
