MCP for n8n

Facebook and Instagram as tools in your n8n agent.

n8n's AI Agent node can call any MCP server. Give it dmswift and a scoped API key, and the workflows you already run can post, answer and report on your channels.

Set it up

  1. In dmswift, open the AI agents page and create a key with the scopes the workflow needs. Pin it to one channel if the workflow is for one client.
  2. In n8n, add an AI Agent node with the chat model you use.
  3. Attach an MCP Client Tool to the agent. Set the endpoint to https://app.dmswift.com/mcp with the HTTP Streamable transport.
  4. Choose header authentication and send Authorization: Bearer fbcb_… with your key.
  5. Pick which dmswift tools the agent may use, or allow all that the key's scopes permit.

Workflows people build

  • A Monday-morning schedule trigger that asks the agent for last week's report and emails it.
  • A form or a Google Sheet row that becomes a scheduled Instagram post with a campaign attached.
  • A chat trigger on your messaging app of choice, so you can talk to the agent from your phone.

Events the other way

dmswift can also push signed webhooks into n8n when something happens: a new contact, a matched comment, a delivered message. Use a Webhook trigger node and verify the signature as the docs describe.

Frequently asked questions

Does n8n need OAuth?

No. A server-side workflow uses an API key in a header. Keys can be revoked from the dashboard at any time.

Which plan do I need?

MCP from $19/month: Starter includes full MCP and API access, with 300 agent actions a month, reads free and 1 key.

What happens if the workflow loops?

The key's daily caps stop it: 15 publishes, 30 comments and 100 messages a day by default, with a daily_cap error that says when it resets.
